Soul Sisters... stand still a moment today... just a moment of stillness...

Solstice is derived from two Latin words, "sol" meaning sun and "sistere" meaning to stand still. It is our time to reflect on the year behind us. To look at the fears we had. To look at the chances we took. To look at those we lost. To look at the joy we scattered and know that we are strong enough... fearless enough to walk through the portal into the next year. So stand still for a moment today and reflect... be fearless... for you are your own sun... you are someone's sun... and you shine so bright. Love to all of you...

Dearest Amy, How I love to mark these special days in the year and this one is most special as you have described it – looking back yet looking ahead and taking the still time for reflection. Your painting is filled with gracious beauty and the light that you share with so many. You are many someone's sun and you shine SO bright. Thank you for this, dear friend.

Dear Amy, beautiful painting! Also your words, so true. Many of us are reflecting this time of year. The good, the bad, the happy, the sad. I have been so blessed this year with wonderful, creative women who have entered my life through blogs. I never dreamed that I would connect with so many truly, wonderful ladies. You are definitely one of those Amy. I have so enjoyed every moment I have spent here, every beautiful, delicate illustration, has enlightened, and inspired my inner Fae. I look forward to the upcoming year, and the journey it holds. Peace and Blessings, Christel

Peace. Tranquility. Loveliness....all words so insufficient to express my feelings when I see one of your posts dear friend. Yesterday, Ruben saw my wool and book pages, and he just said, "Oh...that is so pretty." He gets it.

Love to you dear one, Anita
