I grow best in the thorns...

Once upon a time, far far away a bird asked a faery, "How is it that you are not chased and harried all the day? The faery felt for the bird and this is what she had to say, "You are chased only by your thoughts, you are truly no one's prey, beings may be cruel, but you can choose to see it in another way. I live in amongst the thorns, that is where I will stay, for that is the place for me. I grow my best thoughts that way. When you fly from it all, joy, enthusiasm, and reverence will pall. Come stay with me, young bird, come stay with me, understanding the thorns will set you free." So, the bird stayed with the faery and their days were filled with dappled light and moments merry. Blessed days to you all.

I ask too, did you write this sweet story? I like thinking of obsessions as thougths and being chased by them ,it gives it a visual I can wrap my head around
