Welcome to the soft landing, the light-filled heart. Welcome to the art of Amy Sperry Faldet.

I have walked this path, for fifty posts and have found a wonderland, that I did not realize was there. I have been invited into your lands and found beauty, friendship, glorious creativity, sharing, trips, and art as varied and gorgeous as those who post it! Can blogging be the Happily Ever After for the world? I share with you my work/play (for, truly, what is the difference?) space so that you may always sit right next to me when you want to talk, create, bounce ideas, or just be idle while the leaf glimmer shines across your hands and blesses all you make, whether it be a drawing, a heart note or just the loveliest thing, friendship.

Light and wishes,

Amy

Isn't that the truth? I feel the same about blogging - had never imagined the newly found friends and sweet support! Thanks for your comment - I had to check your great great grandma's picture at once - she was beautiful! I love your photos - does your whole house look this pretty and dreamy? I am impressed. I also saw you have books illustrated by David Christiana - he's one of our favorite illustrators! Many blessings, Silke

Hi Silke! Here, here, I agree! Actually with four sweet small children most of the house looks like a Toys R Us and Barnes and Nobles storage place, hee hee. We are also under construction, down-to-the-lath, clawfoot-tub- disconnected, going-through-the-wonders-that-the grandparents-left-in-the-house goofiness for the upstairs hall, fourth bedroom of the six and bath. So, no, we live, create, laugh, step over things and muddle through;)
My art desk is my haven and was given to me by my husband for Valentine's Day one year. It is a five foot by seven antique drafting table and makes me light up everyday! So, there is my world in a little box lol! Glad to see you dear friend.

Bloggies are my window on the world.

Your table where you paint sure is pretty! The light is just pouring in so nicely, and it all seems cool and comfortable. My cats are always getting into my back room where I draw and do the earrings, and I am seriously considering banishing them from it.

What a lovely post - I understand - I have been blogging for almost a year now, and I do feel that I've made wonderful friends! In a way it feels quite weird. The pictures of your desk are so pretty - the beautiful bits of paper, ribbons, books, little porcelain rabbit - if you had to see my desk right now you'd get a heart attack!!

Such a Wondrous Place this Faery Space said...

Coleen, Always know you can rest here a spell...
Blessings.

Penni,
My little black cat sits on the exact paper I want or rolls the beads around. But, she is divine so, we allow her anything she wishes:)
Blessings friend.

Anairam I am happy you enjoyed visiting. I always have to have one side of my desk orderly, so when the muses whisper, I can listen, but, I usually have stacks and glitter and bits on the other side, but my family just rolls their eyes and smiles about it!
Light.

I am so glad because that is what a good faerytale or illustrated story does for me and my ultimate goal in my art and writing is to make that atmosphere of growth, art, kindness, self-understanding, fun and compassion. Your words and those of all these wonderful comments for the last 51 posts make my dreams come true. Blessings Laura.
